Langton Kitchen renovation – Full Service design + PM

A dark, tired, old kitchen transformed into a bright, practical and inviting space.
This client showed me a picture of a blue kitchen at the start of our journey, that was the blue she loved and wanted and we based everything around that very blue.

We completely changed the layout of this kitchen. Adding a peninsular/bar where people can sit at while the other person is cooking and ideal for quick breakfast. The bar joins the two areas together: on one side the fire place with a sofa in front, on the other side the kitchen and enormous larder unit.

We cut up an old beam from a barn and used it on the fire place, extractor fan, bar and opening towards the dining room. We matched the built in cabinets from the left and designed some matching cupboards on the right. We added 2 skylights to let the light flow in the kitchen. And we added a concrete tile floor with a little blue pattern in.

Hiring Nadine to design and project manage our kitchen renovation was the best thing we could possibly have done. She is worth her weight in gold. She dealt with absolutely everything – and as a result an extensive project involving replacing ceilings, floors, rewiring, building, decorating and fitting ran smoothly and painlessly from start to finish. Her recommendations were perfect. We are delighted with the results and incredibly grateful to her.

Cottage Kitchen Extension – Layout, detailing & Colours

A large kitchen extension on a rural cottage.  This client wanted help with layout, sizing, functionality and some help with the finishing details. The extension was a blank canvas, which is now turned into a spacious, well functioning kitchen with a 3,2 m island. Complete with a pantry, utility and space for dogs to relax in.

Nadine was fantastic to work with. Just what I was looking for. Very positive from the outset, had some great ideas but wasn’t ‘pushy’ and was open to my suggestions too. Nadine was able to advise how to fit many elements into a small utility area without it looking crowded and created some incredibly useful plans of the kitchen for the carpenter.
I’m delighted with the strong design ideas for the downstairs loo too. Wallpaper and colours I would not have thought to use, but the effect is stunning.

Girls bedroom – Full Service Room Design

A large bedroom designed for 2 girls to share the room. The walls are painted a sage green scalloped edge, combined with a very light grey for the floors and the rest of the walls. A desk where both girls can work on, storage, copper hanging rails for clothing. A XL round jute rug on the floor.

The girls weren’t so sure about the colour pallet I initially picked for them, but I promised them they will love it when it is finished. When they saw the result they were jumping from joy, they absolutely love their new room and think it is very girly indeed.

Snug – Full Service Room Design

A family wants to turn a reception room into a multipurpose room. A work space in the day, TV room at night and a place where the kids can play as well. They specified the use of grey colours and wanted to keep the original floor.
My husband and I had very different ideas on how the room should be planned out. Nadine really listened to what we both wanted and came up with a plan that exceeded our expectations. We are so happy with the end result!

Annex – Full Service Room Design

A retired female client is downsizing from a 3 bedroom house to a 30 m2 Annex. She is bringing her own furniture and is very confident with her own style, which is a combination of Cottage, Shabby chic and French. She wanted help with the overall layout and visualising her idea, structural decisions, light and electrical plan, storage solutions and design ideas.
Nadine really understood what I wanted to do with the space. She translated my ideas and designed a bare shell into such a lovely relaxing home! She gave me some good tips about how to use the space better as it is a small place to live in. I was amazed by the beautiful 3D layout plans, which really made it all seem so real. Seeing my new home so clearly on paper.
